Terrorism is a problem that is experienced all over the world, by people of different races, cultures, religions, economic statuses and social statuses. From Israel to Iraq, Korea to Kinshasa, Darfur to Damascus, Chechnya to Cairo, and Kosovo to Kabul, terrorism introduces a sense of insecurity, fear, and intimidation into the lives of everyday people.
In this blog, I intend to not only inform you of what terrorism is and how it is carried out, but also of how you can join the effort to end terrorism. You don't have to deck out in camo gear and chuck grenades everywhere to make a difference; there are many ways you can help the fight without leaving the comfort of your own home. Also, I will be providing specific examples from world literature, several are which are firsthand accounts, of the effects of terrorism on a society; the texts are derived from Greece, Iran, Nigeria, and Eastern Europe.
